FREE DRINKING WATER/குடிநீர்

Human beings need around 2.5 to 3 litres of drinking water per day and this basic survival requirement is commercialised and sold in numerous ways. In a dry, arid state like Gujarat this drinking water is kept in different sizes of pots, coolers, and other water storage devices in public spaces by few organisations, political parties, communities, religious outfits, public figures, houses etc. to serve the thirsty public. This practice which has been ingrained in the Indian psyche is touted as seva bhava (service). The images are a way to explain that the idea behind such practice is more than a service for the public.
